its in a 5 gallon tank on its own i might add some pygmy corries once its setled in the pics arnt very good coz its on my phone (my camra broke) you cant see the lovely light neon blue tips of its tail and its blue eyes

*squints* He looks pretty from what I can see. You should move the phone away a bit , it reduces blurring. A shot of the whole tank would be nice as well. From what little I can see it does look quite bare? Will you be adding some bunches of plants and so on?

yh im getting more plants when i get some money
would i be of to nick a couple of plastic plants from my other tank if i put them in boiling water
ill get some pics soon im not at my house

NOOO! Don't ever use plastic plants for bettas. They have sharp edges and the fish can tear their fins on them if they try to squeeze past ( which they love to do ) Get some silk/material ones or leave it bare until you can get real ones.

Should be fine just avoid sharp edges and points sharp plants, I use rubber corals in my tanks no worries. just run your finger around the edge of the plant and if it feels like it could catch on silk tights dont use it! if not your fine!
