Hi, I have 5 angelfish in a 30G, soon all or some to be moved to a 4ft tank. 2 days ago i noticed one angelfish protecting eggs on the top of my heater and warding off any on her side of the tank. She only let one anglelfish get near the time i was watching and it started to eat them, until she forced it away. I assume the one protecting is the female and the one eating the male, or could it be the other way round? (i couldn't see from the genitals as i didn't see them spawn).

There were about 50eggs, i imagine the rest got burnt on the heater or eaten, only a couple were white. Could it be that she laid the eggs on her own? are the non white ones (more yellow/clear) definitely fertislised?

My ideal would be to move all the fish out except for the couple and let them breed again...but i'm not sure which is the pair...every now and then i think i've worked out a pair it seems to change...plus they look very similar! lol

hi everybody,
I have a small school of guppy. When I bought them they had a beautiful colour, but know their colour isn't as before. I change water each 30 days and give them "hikari" like brand of food, but nothing to do, their colour is not so brilliant like when I bought them. What can I do? what brand of food recommended?
someone try the NLS (Nw Life Spectrum)? it's ok?

Thanks

hey, stop hijacking my thread! lol

you should be doing at least 25% water changes each week...not monthly, and vary their diet...

Ok, :p

really only 25% and no all water?? my tank is not so big so I changed all water monthly.
So tell me what can I bought for my guppy to give them the original colour again? I use "Hikari" and I saw NLS, do you know it? it's ok for my guppy? I don't know may be exist some other product for the brilliant??? Thanks

The one doing the defending is def the female.

I have one female Angel fish (Called Falco) in my tank and she is laying eggs around every 6 weeks all over the filter inlet.

None fertilized of course.
