i would save the money you are going to spend on the firemouths and use to purchase tanks. you are going to need them!

ok.. first off Firemouths get to be about 5 inches and secondly when it comes to cichlids never follow the inch per gallon rule, a 29gallon is a good size for a pair of firemouths but nothing else, I'd say a firemouth would munch most all your fish

I've found my firemouth to be a very picky eater; she will eat worms, but nothing else. Can I safely feed my firemouth a diet largely consisting of bloodworms, or am I going to wind up with a fish with nutritional deficiencies?
