Firemouths

evening all.
i recently purchased 3 small firemouth from my lfs,they are all around 2" long ang in real good shape.
1 is really vividly coloured and the other 2are not drab,but there is a marked difference in the colouration.could it be that the more striking of the trio is a male and the other 2 are females?
suggestions please folks.

Males do have more coloring aswell they have elongated dorsal and anal fins.
