Firemouth In Trouble

Hey i have just brought a new firemouth quite big and since i put it my tank all it seems to do is hide in a boat cave and just lay there..

is she in trouble ?

Is does take them a while to settle in when you have first bougt them.
What are your stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate, and ph.

Its been in there for atleast 4 hours now..

Need to look at your stats just to make sure, is he heavy breathing.

yh sort of .. i dont no my stats sorry.. all the other fish are ok and aint even giving the new firemouth grieft

You mean he is heavy breathing, if so not good, do a small water change, increase aeration in the tank.
Did you climatise him right.

Get a test kit and check your water quality.

In the mean time, do a water change as suggested and add an air stone see if that helps

Shes now on his side heaveily breathein and flickering .. i think its too late

No not good she dying.
1. Hasnt been climatised properly.
2. Need to know your water stats.
3. Was already ill.
4. Buy a quarantine tank.
