Firemouth Cichlid

picked up a couple of cracking little firemouths a couple of days ago they are only little at the moment around 2". are they fast growing and at whhat size are they sexually mature? its deffo a male and a female that i have

3" seems to be the concensus on the net from what I've read.

ok thanks shroob so assuming that like a lot of cichlids they reach up to 80% of adult size in the 1st year they are not too far away . im quite hopwful they will pair up as they stick together like glue altho that could be for safety as they are my smallest fish

Shroob is right about the sexual maturity, my firemouths started to breed at about 3-4".

give them a month or two and the they may pair off. you said you only have two atm? if do they may not pair up.

That could be because they are still young and are in a new place, give it a few months and they will hopefully pair up.
