firefish goby is still scared of me

i dont no what to do, he's still scared of me and its been 9 months. he has plenty of hiding places, i dont make quick movements around him, and there r no fish bigger than him.
if im sitting beside the tank he'll either not come out or he will but if i look at him flees again into hiding.
can anyone help?

There isn't really much you can do. I have a yellow watchman goby that only comes out during feeding and even then if there is movement in front of the tank he bolts back to his cave. So i know how you feel

Yeah, I have a beautiful copper Mandarin Goby in my tank....I think.. )
