hey guys i have two oscars and they are about three months old and i got a firemouth and hes not much bigger then them but for some reason he is picking on the two what should i do.

You could sit the firemouth down and remind him that the oscars are going to be bigger than him some day and he will be sorry! Seriously, there are only a few things you can do. You can try rearranging the tank decor. This will dirupt the territories and might distract the firemouth. You can rehome the firemouth. Or set up another tank. Or put in a divider. Myself, I don't like the dividers.

well i like him its just he is very territorial and it makes me mad that he can pick on them but the other ones are two small to defend them self's but its been better the last month they are a little bigger now and they are starting to fight back but now that they are bigger i don't think it is a problem but when he does pick on them i put him in a 3 gallon tank for 10 mins and then release him back in the 50 gallon tank and then he calms down for a while :) thanks for the advice...:)

A timeout for a rowdy fish! I love it.
