please please could some one help me how to treat my fire eel he is bloated and has a inflamed anus

Can you give us some more info.
Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH?
Have you added any new fish?
What do you feed?
Water Change schedule?
What does its poo look like?

hi the ammo is 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0 ph 7.2 no new fish hes the only fish in the 260L tank hes *12inchs 25% water change everyweek 50%water change once a month he use to eat frozin bloodworms *poo looks like a long transparent rope with brown stuff in side.. i think thats poo.. water temps 26.8degree

about 5 weeks now yes i have a hole pile of eel plants lined up in the entire back of the tank

Your tank is not cycled, you do not have any nitrates showing. Let me get in touch with Wilder, a few things I need to check. In the meantime have a look at fish in cycling threads, and have a read. We will be in touch later today.

EDIT
How long ago did you introduce the eel?
You say he used to eat bloodworm - has he gone off food or have you changed the food?
Have you been cleaning the filter, if so how?

hi sorry for late reply thinks for wasteing ur time on helping me realy appriciated. ill go to the aquarium store ask about it too
hi iv just introduced the eel 4days ago
yes the shop keeper told me they'v had him for quite sometime and have always feed him frozin bloodworms *when i saw him in the shop he was in great condition no scratchs nothing just looked abit thin to me but he was all happy and moveing around. *i admit this is kinda entirely my falt as an hobbyist i should of known signs of skinnyness also means he is bloated sigh i totaly missed this part during my research before getting a fire eel.
another sign of bloating *probabily im just saying , is that when i try to feed him live tiger worms i bought from the garden center *they are compost worms same as earthworms except with stripes on its body the eel finaly took interest came over and nibbled 3 worms down but 5min later he spit all 3 of them out its ether he never did swallow them or he vomited them out *cause the worms still look intact.

Everyone has to learn. I am still a bit worried, Wilder not been on tonight, have pm'd her, she will get back to me as soon as she comes on here. Try getting some bloodworm, you may be able to tempt it. You will need to keep testing water and doing very regular water changes. You don't have alot of bioload with just one fish, so it may take a while to cycle. Will be in touch.

ok thanks alot oh and im worried what should a healthy fire eel poo look like?

hi thanks um how exactly can i feed him when he ignores things that dont move.. is it possible to force feed a eel....*sounds kinda mean
