This is crazy... I was going to visit the closest LFS today, to stock up on food items, and just browse like I normally do, but I was checking their website and found this bad news... "Dallas North Aquarium Experienced a fire Wednesday night (5/3/06) with heavy damage to the retail and livestock sections of the facility." Hopefully they'll get their livestock section back up and running soon!

oh no! :X  thats too bad. Hopefully theyll be up and running soon. :/

?

water could easily have gotten spilt on a plug... anything could have happened.

Everything around the tanks, probably a wooden frame, most likely in a wooden frame building if in america, could have VERY easily caught on fire, no matter how much water was contained there.
As said, an electrical fire, possibly a pump over heating, a plug short circuiting, a heater malfunctioning etc. would be a very pheasable way of catching fire to the place.

My wife drove by to check it out, and it appears the fire was all in the back with the livestock, which is sad, because they probably lost all their stock. I may swing by later today to pick up some food from them, just to show some support.

EDIT: Maybe not, just found this story.
