I have a two Blue rams and the males fins have been chewed up really bad. Will the fins which have been dammaged grow back? im not sure what did this to the ram but he was in a tank with discus when we got him, i think there were some cat fish too. I dont have any fin nippers in my tank so nothing will hurt him now :)

thanks

Kev

That have to depend on ur water stats. If your water is kept on Superd lvl which you should in a discus tank. They their fin will grow back. But you should keep an eye on them as they r very vulunable to fungus infection in this period of time. Good luck to ya.

Keep the water perfect and they'll grow back quickly without infection. Of course, if they keep getting chewed it will only get worse.

Thats what i wanted to hear :) there aint anything in my tank that will nip them so im good so far lol.

Only thing to watch out for is a fungal infection. They, as most fish, are prone to them once there is damage present. But if water is good it shouldn't be an issue. They'll grow back pretty fast and the colour will return in them too.
