Finishing Stocking...

I have:

5 x Columbian Red Fins
3 x Black Phantom Tetras (will be 5 a.s.a.p, need to track down 2 more females)
2 x Bolivian Rams (m & f I think)
1 x Bulldog Pleco
6 x Corydoras (adding next month)

Any ideas on another type of dwarf cichlid I could add to finish my tank off? Or a slightly larger centrepiece fish who will go with my current stock. Was thinking of an Angel but not sure whether my tetras would nip fins. Don't think an Angel could eat them.

Also can I keep some shrimps alongside my community? Possibly Cherry or Amano? And how many if so?

An Angel would be cool, not sure about those tetras and nipping though. What about a Keyhole Cichlid? They're supposed to be peaceful and get to about 4-5 inches.

Are they mid-level dwellers?

How many should I get?

What about a trio (1 M, 2 F) of Apistogramme Cacatoides. These are predominently bottom dwellers but very beautiful fish.

I think I will be overstocked with bottom dwellers considering I have a Pleco, 2 Rams and will be getting 6 Cories next month...

Looking for something that sticks to the upper levels...

ok so mid-top dweller, do you want a shoaling fish or a pair/trio of 'feature' fish

for a shoal how about praecox rainbows, for feature fish how about opaline gouramis.

not cichlids i know though!

I think a pair of keyholes may be your best option then mate, never seem to be able to find decent sized ones my way as that is what I originally wanted in my 190L tank.

A pair of keyholes would be suitable, and a good idea is to purchase around four specimens and allow a pair to form, once they mature after around one year you can remove the excess fish.

Opaline Gouramis are a BIG no-no, just swapped my others

I think I'll get a few Keyholes, they seem a good option and are pretty cute
