Lets see who can finish the lyrics to this song. If you are not a big music junkie you will probably not be able to do this. Also, see if you can give the band name and song name. We don't want cheaters, so no lyric websites. COME ON EVERYONE, GIVE IT A TRY!

Dealin' card games with the old men in the club car,
penny a point ain't no one keepin' score,
pass the paper baq that holds the bottle,
you can feel the wheels rumblin' neath the floor.
And the sons of Pullman porters and the sons of engineers
ride their fathers' magic carpets made of steel
mothers with their babes asleep
are rockin' to the gentle beat
and the rhythm of the rails is all they feel.

And continue from there.

These lyrics are from the middle of the song.

I know the name of the song and the singer/songwriter but can't recall the rest of the lyrics. That's probably from the early 70s.

"Good morning America how are you?
Don't you know me I'm your native son,
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans,
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done"

City Of New Orleans written by the late, great Steve Goodman (and covered by a plethora of people, such as Willie Nelason and Arlo Guthrie).Great song.

Try this one;

I know a guy that's got a lot to lose.
He's a pretty nice fellow but he's kind of confused.
He's got muscles in his head that ain't never been used.
Thinks he own half of this town.

Starts drinking heavy, gets a big red nose.
Beats his old lady with a rubber hose,
then he takes her out to dinner and buys her new clothes.

correct it is Steve Goodman, but I like the Arlo Guthrie cover better. I am thinking Norah Jones- World Goes 'Round. Correct me if I am wrong.

Here is another one:
You made a fool of me, but them broken dreams have got to end

Hey woman, you got the blues, 'cause you ain't got no one else to use
There's an open road that leads nowhere, so just make some miles between
here and there
There's a hole in my head where the rain comes in
You took my body and played to win
Ha, ha, woman, it's a cryin' shame
But you ain't got nobody else to blame

This song is from 1976, should be an easy one to guess.

Its actually John Prine 'Thats The Way That The World Goes Round',maybe N Jones covered it
