wow ive waited so long for my mollies to mate the only trouble was i couldnt manage to get the amount of salt or the PH right or keep it stable so they all kept dieing apart from one dalmation MALE, i felt horrible to keep buying them just for them to die but i finally got everything right and i went out about a month ago and bought 8 orange speckled mollies all females (maybe one male not sure) and the past few days i've seen my dalmation mollie mating with most of my female so fingers crossed there could be babies very soon, :D i'll keep you updated

mollies don't need salt in order to live. i keep all of my swordtrails, guppies, and mollies in freshwater and they are constantly dropping young. any way, congrates with the new mollies. post photos please..lol what size tank are they in? you do know that with 8 (maybe 7..lol) you will be getting ALOT of fry every 3-4 weeks. they drop any where from 5-200 young at one time. good luck.

fishbguy is right about the salt, but read the sticky on salt and Mollies. It's either brackish water or immaculately clean freshwater.
