Finally Sunk The Driftwood

Are they dangerous? The wood was outside in our rain barrel. Could they be some kind of larvae? The whole works is in a seperate tank, but if some of the fish would think these are a tasty treat, I'd be happy to suck them up with my turkey baster and feed them to whomever is interested.

I found many of those worms in my outdoor water fountain they are very creepy. I don't know what they are either.

at my stables we have a dip where water collects and stays there. i looked in it the other day to find huge swarms of red worms things, when you touch them with a stick or some thing they all stop moving.

im assuming they are midge larvae because this is midge season! i hate it!

Well, I wondered if they were blood worms. We don't have midges here. I wonder what blood worms ARE. Weird thing is, I don't see them in the tank anymore. Maybe that nice clean water killed them?
