Hiya guys, i finally managed to stock my Juwel Rio 180 yesterday with:
10 neon tetras
3 redtailed black sharks
5 honey gouramis
5 zebra loaches
6 african dwarf frogs
but im a little concerned im feeding them wrong. I put in a few flakes of food when i got them into their new home just to settle them in a bit which they ignored (to be expected with a new environment i guess). I left them to explore for a good few hours, then dropped in a few more flakes for them, which they ignored again. I ended up cleaning out all the uneaten food last night, left the lights off for 12 hours, turned them on this morn, fed them again and the sharks had a bit to eat, a couple of the tetras had a peck, but other than that nothing. One of my frogs was "coughing" a bit this morning, it looked like he was jumping up a little, and sneezing, which threw him back a teeny bit, and pecking the gravel so i tried dropping a tiny fragment of a sinking pellet for him, but he wasnt interested. The loaches are mentalists, they keep swimming up the side of the filter, and into the filter outlet getting shot backwards thru the water
is the feeding issue something to worry about or are they still just settling in? I had a thought on the way to work maybe i should try feeding them after lights out tonight? any suggestions appretiated.
Thanks
Ash
