My son noticed that the Red Zebra that had been carrying the eggs no longer had them in her mouth, and was eating. I got nervous because I didnt see any eggs or fry right away, and thought that she or another cichlid had eaten them.
I sat and watched the tank, to see how the mother acted.... then, low and behold, up toward the top in the hogwart plant was a teeny little fry. We were never more excited. So far I only see 2 of the fry, dont know if that's all she had since this is her first pregnancy, or that's all that made it. But nonetheless, if it's just the 2, we're gonna keep them (which there's plenty of room for more in the 125g they are in).
Besides guppy babies, this is our first experience with fish babies like this.... so I just had to share the excitement.
