Ok so I've now managed to get rid of my chinese algae eaters (after upsetting all the fish)! The little blighters were nearly impossible to catch and the last one took the biscuit (It just goes to show a fish can learn)! Took nearly half an hour to catch all three and put them in a breeding trap!

My tank now has a new look as I took the oppportunity of rearranging everything in it so there was a bit more swimming space for the others! Also took the opportunity to purchase some bloodworms and daphnia to treat them to! Found a strange looking creature in with the daphnia not a clue what it was so that didnt get fed to them and then found a leach in with my bloodworms too! Of course there is no way I'm letting a leach loose in my tank (they breed like crazy and damage the fish)

Pleased to say all fish seem happier now that they have been left alone for a while! Got two new baby plecs who are meant to only grow to 4 inches but we'll see! They are addorable though must admit even though didnt really want plecs!

Will keep you all informed of the plecs progress! They seem pretty happy very lively little things constantly out and about (I always thought plecs were shy creatures)

He did say some sort of name but didnt quite hear him! Tried to look at what it said on the tank but as was about to look he said all done and kind of usered me out! He said they only grew to 4 inches and that they are just algae eaters but not too sure. He cant of been having a good day as seemed pretty short with me!

Think they might be this http://www.plecofanatics.com/gallery/showp...to=4586&cat=511! Not sure though! Its the closest pic I've found of them so far!

Bet you got landed with baby commons... that type of ansictrus is rarely available and small common plecs look very similar.
How much did you pay?

 Hmmm that one looks pretty ugly oh well I will wait and see how they turn out! I take it they grow the bristles as they get older (can't see any on them at the mo)

Oh well not bothered if they turn out like that! It will be a shame though if they do as they are dead cute at the moment!

I think they are cute when they get older and get their bristles too. Wait until you see one in real life... its one of those so ugly its cute scenarios

Oh for sure, plecs get in to your heart then you end up a plecing fool like the rest of us.
