my gar attacks anything that breaks the surface of the water and this afternoon i wasnt concentrating properly whilst feeding my little ray and the bar**** bit my hand  i usually guide him away from me with the net before putting my hand anywhere near but i completely forgot  it punctured my skin in 6 places like needles and water went everywhere

well at least you're laughing about it! A lesson learned..............

ouch lol.

my oscar (altho doesnt have teeth) starts jumping for food as soon as i life the cover.

i stopped trying to get him to jump months ago too so i thought hed give up but it seems hes jus not happy unless he performs for his food.

its my own fault ive been hand feeding it earthworms and white bait so it has no fear of me

You have to watch with those fish with big teeth. I have a friend that did a number on his hand trying to hand feed a wolf fish! Had to have a couple stitchs from the gash! Hopefully your gar will never be able to do something like that!

this morning i got bitten by my silver arowana while i was netting out some crap.i think it thought my little finger was a king prawn.it didnt even break the skin but it sure made me jump

While snorkling quite motionless i've had schools of minnows nibble me all over, weirdest feeling ever.

Thats funny, i got bitten by my jardini this morning doing exactly the same thing, although it did break the skin and left some tiny little puncture wounds which bled a fair bit. At least with all the anti biotics im on at the moment i know i wont get an infection

oops!!

but you know it aint just the big scary fish that hurt you.

put my hand in the marine tank to move a coral the other day and one of the clown fish darted up to my hand and i felt a sharp prick, took my hand out and I was bleeding! don't think he's got teeth so i don't think he bit me, probably caught a fin or something. But Ian was watching and say's it was definately the clown :X

I had a 12 inch red oscar bite me once while i was feeding it beefheart. Almost my entire thumb fit in its mouth  Didnt break the skin or anything, just scared me pretty bad.
