Previous to today, my tank had both live and silk plants, looking like this:
However, I went to a LFS yesterday and purchased a load of live plants for the tank. I've got two echinodorus species and some Vallisneria contortionist. The vallis is difficult to see as it is partially hidden at the moment by the echinodorus, though I'm hoping it will grow above them.
The tank now looks like this:
This is my first try at having all live plants. I'm currently using a King British plant fertilizer but hope to buy some Flourish Excel or EasyCarbo for some CO2 input and possibly some TPN/+ at some point soon. I understand that the plants will probably grow quite large, but I had the idea to move some out of the tank when they grow, as I am sure I will be able to find another home for them and/or snip them as they grow.
Any tips for the tank? What could be changed? I had the idea for some red in there, but I'm not sure. Any input is greatly appriciated
Thank you
