Finally found it!

I've been searching for a nice lyretail sword for a long time, and while fish shops near my area occassionally stock them, the fish were always in sub-optimal conditions and/or with unimpressive finnage. I used to have a red wag lyretail sword more than a year ago, but it lasted only a month and died several days after the heater malfunction (due to excessive heat?) Last week I finally found one that met my definition of a good form.

The actual fish colour is a bit different than the photo; it is more red than purple in real life. Hope you'll like it too and see if your def'n of a good fish is similar to mine!

WoW That is one good looking lyretail I have never seen them red! I have seen them exactly look like it but orange. Try and get a close up of it and I will FOTM it!

Wow, thats a nice fish. Too bad the fins are so extremely over developed that it will be unlikely to mate. It would be great to raise a whole bunch of fry that looked like that.

You guys should see my pineapple swordtail. Hes beautiful but I dont have a camera. His tail has a black outline to it and his colors go from white on his head toa beautiful orange. Maybe I can find a similar picture of him on the web.
