Finally Bought My Angelfish

Finally got the heater i needed for the tank so went out today and bought 4 angelfish. They are pretty stressed out, hope they will be ok. Acclimated them and then put the tank lights out so they can calm down, will keep lights off tomorrow and feed them a little flakes. Will see how they are on Sunday to see if it will be ok to put the lights on. Won't be able to get pictures until i know for sure they are ok. There gills are all red right now, poor fishies, all stressed out. The lfs just got them in yesterday and they were all freaked out, they should have been in the back of the pet store for a couple of days.

Not a surprise when I got up this morning, checked on the angelfish and one was dead. Will take him/her back for a refind and go to another petstore nearby to get another. I hope by tomorrow there is no others dead, but have a feeling there might be. The one that died was the first one i picked out, the one I liked the most.

I'd recommend returning them all because red gills means gill flukes which will kill them and there isn't to many meds to cure it. So like I said return them and get 4 new ones from a different place. When did you get them because oddly enough I just got 4 angelfish yesterday.
