Fish Connoisseur
The family has now agreed to the Rio 240 (or something similar in size), to be installed this autumn. So I am spending happy hours making stocking lists. I make that 62 US gallons. Don't want big fish, just a few different things going on. And peaceful. Planted. Caves. Hiding places.
This is the general plan I am leaning towards:
trio of pearl gouramis as centrepiece fish
pair of bristlenoses for the bottom
school of peaceful tetras in the middle- either black neons or black phantoms, c. 10 individuals
small group of blue limias (usual livebearer ratio)
trio or group of peacock gobies
maybe a few Amano shrimps
If either of the last three proved a problem in this tank (limias too zippy for the gouramis?, gobies outcompeted for food?), I could always reshuffle my current tanks.
What do you reckon, would this work?
