Final Stocking For 46 Gal Tank - Your Ideas Please

Hi guys I'm looking for some inspiration to 'finish off' my tank and more importantly some advice on fish compatability.

I have a 4ft tank (48x18x15) which is 46 Uk gals and runs an external filter. Current I am stocking:

* 4 x albino corys
* 1 x bn plec
* 1 x ruby shark
* 1 x angelfish
* 1 x dwarf gourami
* 2 x rainbow fish

I'd like to get a shoal of something but not sure what? I used to have 5 bosemani rainbow fish but they didn't do well and 3 died. I replaced them with another 3 and they died too. Checked all my water levels and my readings are fine (my water is soft and naturally acidic) All the current fish get on well with eachother.

So moving on from the rainbows what would you suggest I get? By my reconing I have about 20inches left to play with. thanks.

I think a shoal of Rasboras would be cool, as they are really neat looking fish. I always have fun with my Gouramis, since there are so many colors and variations. Bala Sharks are REALLY sweet looking, too!

Not bala sharks they get 2 about 1 foot long to big for your tank. What about a shoal of neons?

Rehome the rainbows, get a couple more cories and maybe a couple more angelfish too. As for new additions, a couple of rams would work.


EDIT: No neons, the angels would eat them. Bigger tetras would be safe though, like rummynoses or bleeding hearts.

Yh its brill now it actually understand a bit. Not much but i'm learning slowly from many many mistakes lol.
