Hello, thanks for all your help so far, finally got some money so the kribensis are on there way! I can almost smell them  ! This is what I am going to do before they arrive as I figured that now was the time to make any changes. I am going to change my gravel to sand (will this be fine with plecs?) and then change my aqua scape to rocky and cavey as this will promote breeding ;) ! Also I am using plastic plants. Then i am going to set my tank at 25C and i hope bobs my uncle! I am also going to clean my tank fully just as now is the time.

Now for the questions:
Is there any special food for kribs? I have tetrapro tropical freshwater flakes at the moment, will this be fine?
Also please can I have a few suggestions to any colourful tankmates in a 70l tank?
Can I use a heater that is meant to be used in a 300l tank in my 70l?
Is there anything else that I need to know before making the move from community to chiclid?

I really am grateful for all your help, shall take some pictures when it is finished! How about a before and after? :D

Any high protien food will promote breeding. So will feeding frozen foods. The pleco's will make a mess in the sand. Kribs prefer gravel anyways. The heater should be fine.

i found that after owning kribs for a fair while that they do hide alot lol plus when breeding them they preffered the temp at 27 but u might get lucky with 25
they thrive on vegie bassed foods and will pick at alge discs as well mine love frozen spinach they cant get enough but because they are bottom dwellers they prefer there food to come to them (sink)
if u are to put them in a tank with other fish id advise not to put fish smaller than them in the same tank as they will pick them off one by one as my sister found out several times when she relised her tetras and fantails and other smaller cichlids went missing lol
make sure also that the tank is well air raided u will know if it aint cuz they will hover at the surface as like betas do when goin for air....
i hope the advise ive given u has helped in some way but if u would like any more info on them feel free to pm me

Thanks for all the help :good: ! I was wondering what other fish I could add with them, how about tiger barbs or something of the sort? Any ideas? Thanks
