I keep getting fin rot,i lost about 40 in 1 tank,in 2weeks,believe me thats pretty sad  ,probly 30 fry,i kept doing water cahnges, about 10 percent daily after the virus, now again it started in my breeding tank,im getting pills for the fin rot tomorrow, befor it spread or kills again.. When i add a weekly 20 percent water change,my 1 guppy, his tail splits. a petshop owner told me to add a bit of salt,it works, been working for about 3 months.. What is the best way to prevent this??My temp in the tank is 26,thanks been running for more than 4 months,i do add dechlorinator with water changes,I do weekly water changes. 1 tank only has (40)guppies and (4)bostia striatas. Other tank i have 10gupies left of obout 50 , 2 small algea eaters and 2 peper corrys.Oh and i clean the gravel weekly with the water cahnges, both my tanks have the Cascade 300 HOB filters, with corner filter, enough bubbles.. Any info will help, like water temp, all that stuff

its 120L tanks,my fry tank is 60L but they r doing gr8

I tested it,all was fine,i added 2 new fish, and i guess thats where it started. I lost all the fry but the remaining fish is healthy atlast.. Just a sad story, lost in total was 52 adults and more than 30 fry.. Guess i just shouldnt buy fish at the stores anymore

What do you class as "fine"? In terms of actual numbers in Parts Per Million.
