Fin Rot....

yes it is a guppy tankmakes are platys neon tetras and bloodfins..

Does not seem to be fin rot. Looks more like fin nipping to me.

Male guppies are known to do that to each other sometimes, however it may also be the tetras fault. Just keep an eye out to be sure it's nothing serious.

TBH, i do see where the bother my male... and wouldn't think he can do it to himself on less the female is doing it to him since I only have one female ATM and shes stressed with her being prrego..

Update: I think it actually had become finrot... It it wasn't already.(sorry people) His tail has actually began to look more and more faded(the ends) and kind of looking liek its getting the start of burnt pieces... He also hasn't been very active the past few days...

So, with that being said. Do I treat the whole tank?

No, i'd remove him and treat using melafix with an anti-bac or specific fin rot treatment...
Remember to aerate the water and remove any carbon fromyour filter.
Good luck!

When you say burnt, you mean like black?
What are your current water stats??

I don't have an extra tank set up though, and everyone throughs a hissy if the tanks aren't cycled.... How long will i have to keep him in the tank?

A miniumum of 7days treatment when treating with pimafix and melafix. Medications often mess with biological cycles anyways, so there isn't much use to a tank always being cycled.

Could always use a seachem purigen pad....
It'd keep your nitrite, nitrate and ammonia down....
I have a fish currently hospitalised using this, he's been in for about 10 days now (healing up while we decide where to put him, he's a very angry little fish) and the water stats are perfect, doesn't interfere with meds either...
