so i noticed slider's tail sort of turning clearish on the ends and it started "disappearing" so i finally made it to the pet store today and i got him Macaryn for it. here's some pictures of his "hospital"(i added his plant in, i hadn't cleaned it off yet when i took these pictures.

Looks fine to me. I've done hospital tanks before just like that. I give like the aeration and maybe an ornament. Because you don't want to much mess to clean up after treatment. And it's not like the fish is in there for a whole year, so it doesn't need to be that homey. Looks fine to me! Hope he gets better!!

thanks, i've never had to set up a hospital tank before so i was just curious if it was good. he seems to like the bubbles, too  he swims over towards them and then through them really, really slowly before bolting away. its quite funny to watch.

Yeah whenever i've put mine in a hospital tank they love the bubbles, they are completely distracted that they don't even know their in a different tank i think. It is quite interesting how they love bubbles though. :hyper:

the airstone is actually from one of those lavaquariums my friends bought me for my birthday - no worries, it's kept extra clean. i know it's not ideal, i just feel bad if i take monitor out since they got me both the aquarium and the fish
monitor didn't like the airstone so i took it out and it turns out i actually could use it :good:
