About a week or so ago my golden nugget got suddenly sick and died w/in about a day of acting odd. Since then i lost my Bala Sharks (Got these from a friend who had them in a 10 gallon, since I was gettnig a 55 gal I took them off his hands for a bit), and now my syno eupt has horrible fin rot, white bacteria infection, stopped eating, has bouyancy issues, & is not very active. My tetra's are doing the same. I dosed the tank w/ Fish Buddies fungus clear which didnt stop anything. this morning I did a 1/3 tank water change, put in Tetracycline, turned up the heat a few degrees, durned down the filter for less current, and turned down the airation. If anyone has any other suggestions please help! I can not add these fish to their new home until they are healthy, and my pride and joy is my syno, i would be gutted if he died!
Yes my stats are fine, went a little off after the pleco died, but returned to normal the next day.

Any help/ suggestions is well needed!

You must turn aeration up with meds.
As meds and high temps reduce 02 in the water.

How many fish are in the tank.
What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Tetracycline will knock your benefical bacteria in the tank.

my water stats have been fine, right now my amonia is starting to rise becasae my carbon filter is out. is there a way to know between a bacteria and a fungal infection? my tank is actually getting worse!!!!

A true fungus infection is rare, columnaris is common.
Tetracycline should take care of what they have.
Your ammonia rising is nothing to do with black carbon all its for is removing med,
The ammonia reading is probably due to the tetracycline as it destroys bacteria colonies in your filter.

do you have any other recommendations, other than dosing w/ tetracycline? I assume I will have to dose w/ it for the next 8 days, anythign i can do to keep my ammonia down?

I would stick to the same med now the damage has been done, best to use tetracycline in a hospital tank.
All you can do is water changes and keeping adding the correct amount of med back to the water removed.
I've had bad water stats with bacterial meds the med seem to protect them.
