its getting deperate now my male betta is getting finrot. and every med i use wont help. will methylene blue clear it up? methylene blue and tonic salts? what would be the best? i really need to sort this out quickly!

Bret

You will need to mix two meds then if nothing working, can you issolate the fish.
You will need a full dose of the anti internal bacteria med by interpet, and half a dose of the anti fungus and finrrot med by interpet, plus increase aeration alot with two meds.

well.. i was told that methylene blue would work so i went ahead and tried that with the IAL extract i got today.. and he is swimming around he has perked up. What water changes will i need? Daily 100%?

would it be bad if i added salt in aswell??

Don't do a water change till the med date is up, then do a water change and add black carbon, only add salt if you have no scaless fish in the tank.

hi there wilder said to me to use myxazin by whaterlife it treats fin&body rot ulsers cloudy/pop eye &other bacterial infections it prevents disease in new fish and i found it works brill its a daily dosage and i used in in my tank along with my fighter and its stopped the infection i was also told and read on the internet that really badly infected fish tack out of thank by hand or cup as net can stress them out which can also be a cause to infection and treat by them selves in a smaller bowl but add treatment into running water so take a cup of water your fish is in and add the amount you need poor then togeather that way its not so direct and gets round the tank or bowl the myxazin is about £4.50 but i have found it works i hope i have helped in some way all i say is dont change water that he is in so if he in a big tank take the water from that tank best to do 10% water change in big tank if thats what you have that way he can have some of the water in the smaller bowl oh and if you have used any other treatment you will have to use aqua tan to remove the first one it neutralises it then you can you another treatment after

This is an old thread and not sure If I agree with my own advice lol.
