One of my guppys has got fin rot (i think). His tail has gone jagged and is starting to go slightly white at the ends. Some of my other guppies are also started to white at then of the fin. What should I do?

what are you current ammonia and nitrite stats?

water change regime?

other tankmates?

size of tank?

Ammonia and nitrite are both 0

water change regime is every saturday 30% but I haven't had chance to do that yet as the fish have only been in since saturday!

other tankmates are a dwarf gourami, 3 guppys and 6 neon's.

Size of tank is 12 gallons

so you cycled the tank before you put the fish in?

Have you ever noticed your DG chasing the guppies?

What test kit are you using?

Yeh I did a fishless cycle, and nope never seen it chasing the guppies, earlier though I saw the affected guppie nip another guppie though. I am using API.

I will try, i only have a phone camera though...

Just done a 50% water change as I heard if it is fin rot that will help.

Cant get a pic.. there all too blurry and you cant see it. It looks like little bits have been taken out of his tail fin, as it is all frayed and some bits stick out more than others. What is the best thing I can do? I heard try aquarium salt for a week and it should clear it up if it is fin rot?
