I have two bettas in a divided tank and about a month ago or so they had finrot (this was just after I bought the 2nd one, who had finrot when I acquired him).
I treated it successfully and the fins are growing back. But I have noticed that the colours aren't the same as before.
One of the boys is blue with a white edge to his fins (I believe this is called a marble). The white edging isn't growing back properly, it is clear rather than white, and it makes the fins look raggier than they are. Also, where he had blood streaks in his fins, there is still a dark patch, even though the fin has grown back.
I can't see if the other fish is the same as he is all red and it's impossible to tell.
Is this normal? And will he ever regain his former glory?
