Hello
I have had a tank set up for a while and recently some of my fish have had there fins nipped my male fighter mainly these are the fish in the tank:
5 guppies
13 neon tetras
5 glowlight tetras
2 dwarf gouramis
1 male betta
1 male swordie (quite fierce)
2 female swordes
5 danio's
2 plecs (1 being moved soon cause is common other is not)
4 cories
3 platys
I think it is either the neons (ive heard they nip in smaller groups) or the male swordy cause he hes very angry.
But i was just wondering out of that group which are more prone to fin nip?
Thanks :good:

Th ones in bold are supposed to be nippy although I have glolights and Danios with my Betta and have had no problems. Some livebearers can be a problem too. Someone else might post to you who has had the opposite experience with this mix of fish, sometimes different fish different reactions much the same as humans really.

Thats a lot of fish. How big is your tank. if they're on top of each other that might be the root cause of the nipping. i.e. no running away or hiding places.
