 I have a penn-plax small world filter. I installed a small valve on the air line to adjust the air going into the filter. Anyway my question is how low can I turn the air down to before it effects the filter working properly. Fred doesn't like alot of disturbance in his tank. I have a piece of plastic that I put in front of the filter that keep the bubbles down and the surface calm, but since I put the valve in the air line I can contol the amount of air and bubbles, I just don't want to turn it down so low that the filter doesn't work properly. I have a 1 1/2 gallon tank , I know the water doesn't need to be filtered, but I feel better and the water quality is better with the filter. Only the best for Fred!!
