HI, I JUST GOT A JUWEL180 TANK BUT I ALSO PUT MY OLD FILTER IN TO, IS IT SAFE/OK TO HAVE 2 FILTERS IN THE TANK I HAVE 34 FISH

Its fine to have two filters running at once. Was the old filter cycled? If it was, then it will help keep the tank parameters safe while the new filter catches up with the bio load of the fish.

What fish do you have btw?

providing the flow is not so strong as to pin the fish against the tank walls then it's fine to run two filters.

if you've upgraded your tank it's definatley wise to run both filters together for at least a month (can leave them on forever if you like) or the tank may cyclke

THANKS ALOT FOR THAT HELP GUYS,

How long have the male and female fighter been together? Usually its not a good idea to have a male siamese fighter in with a female or many other fish, some can be ok in a community set up, but usually they require their own tank, they can be aggressive, hence the name siamese fighting fish.

Keep an eye on him with the other fish, males and females can be prone to killing each other, they will fine one minute, the next all out war!
