Couple of questions first one is i just unplugged my filter by a mistake so plugged it straight back in my tank now looks like a snow machine loads of white particles floating around

Second is i have a 21 litre birthing tank and im using a aqua flow 1 0-80 litre filter and it seems to making a strong current in the tank is there anything i can do to slow this down or maybe by adding something to the center of the tank will take away the strangth of the current thanks. :good:

I unplug my filter at every water change which usually takes around 15/20 mins and its never a problem? Just let it be for a while and it'll settle :)

About the current, im not too sure about that sorry.

Thanks i wasnt so much worried as just wondered why all the white particles come floating around the fish thought they were delicious though

If it's a birthing tank, it should be quite still and calm. If there is not a flow adjustment on the filter, i would suggest using a different one. Maybe a bubble filter?

If i turn the filter off overnight with a femal platy in the tank will it harm her in anyway or will she be fine thanks.

Is this the filter which holds the biological media (ie. the bacteria)?

If so, don't switch it off overnight or you will wake up to a very unhealthy tank.

Ok figuired the only small filter i had was in the goldfish tank and had been running for months so i swapped it and now i dont have a current in the birthing tank she seems alot happier in there now and is not fighting against the current
