Hi,
I have a 55gal cichlid tank. I had a Penguin for 40gal and Top Fin 60.
The motor is history on Penguin so I put in the spare filter..Aquamaster 600.
I notice while only Top Fin working, the water doesn't move in half of the tank
at all.. not even the top. I need to know if this is too much filtering with the
Aquamaster 600. Any suggestions for better filtration? I have 3 electric yellow labs,
3 cobalt zebras and a clown loach in the tank.

Thanks
Suzi

:hi: ot the forum!!

Shoot for 8x tank turnover w/your filtration. 55x8=440 gallons per hour :good: If the water seems a bit strong that's alright. The fish will adjust to it and get stronger. I have a tornado affect in the center of my tank. It's were the returns meet in the middle at the top of the water. It doesn't tornado down to the bottom, just for an inch or two. It creates nice flow in the tank. I like it. It also helps debri and poop settle in one spot in the tank. Much easier for syphoning :good:
