I went on vacation for a week. I didnt realize it until just now, when I returned that I had the lights plug into a timer in one outlet and the filters plugged into another along with my TV and all, so I unplugged them before I left, not realizing my filters were unplugged too, because since the lights still worked I didnt notice anything out of the ordinary.

Its too late to get the water tested. Ill do that tomorrow morning.

10 Gallon:
9 Cardinal Tetras

29 Gallon:
3 swordtails
4 Rasboras
1 CAE

So, my tanks are not overstocked at least, but that wont save all the bacteria that died. What can I do??? The filters still were filled with water, the water was just not circulating.

THanks

don't panic, it happens to the best of us.

the water stored in the filter needs to be discarded and the media needs cleaning or replaceing (you'll proberbly notice a rotten eggy smell)
and you will need to start the cycle again.
as you have fish they will provide the ammonia for this, however it would be best if you could get hold of some bacteria from another tank, or from a lfs.

try a search on this forum for a thread about members willing to donate mature media and see if anyone in your area is willing,
otherwise buy some bio-spira(tm)

Got some good news. It turns out my bigger tank filter was plugged in to the outlet with the lights, so that one stayed on!
I can move some filter media from that one to help my 10, which was turned off.
