Filters At Both Ends

Hi people just thinking would it be better to put both inlet pipes one end and both out let pipes the other or can one filter set of pipes go one end and the other set go the other end..?

What size is the tank?

If its a larger tank, then you'd be better putting an inlet and an outlet at each end, this way it will be taking in water from both sides of the tank and ensuring the whole tank gets filtered.

The tank is a 450 juwel....im pleased you said that as thats what i have done as pipes where to sort to go other way round...pluse 2 air stones on the go so should be plenty of movement on the go in there

Mine has external ex700 inlet & ex1200 outlet one end & ex700 outlet & ex1200 inlet the other,so it has both spraybars spraying out right across the tank from back to front just under the waterline.
