Filterless Tank

Hi, how does the heat circulate in a filterless tank? Do the betta's movements help or anything?

water conducts heat, it doesn't have to move at all.

even in a tank where there is water movement it will always be warmest by the heater. The amount of water that will be heated is determined by the strength of the heater, not the movement of the water.
