HI all,
I swear i'm going dizzy from reading all these great threads, i'd like to say thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time out to help other people
Right, I've got a Fluval 3 Internal filter, it's brand new, and seems to be doing a grand job, the only things I wanted to ask were:
1. How low in the water should the out-flow be? I mean the blue tube bit at the top where the clean water spurts back out. I've fiddled quite a bit with it and I feel it's best when it's creating a litle disturbance on the surface of the water (I also like the sound it makes
)
2. Has anyone else found that the fitting to sucker it to the tank is a bit useless? Because the filter slides down into the plastic holder, the force the pump creates pushes it back out and up again...i've had a few very wet experiences when taking the lid off
I also wanted to mention, I have a little pump from an old tank, and I was trying to hook it up to an air/bubble wall tube (a blue tube weighted tot he bottom of the tank, which when air is pumped into it creates a wall of bubbles) but it doesnt seem strong enough to blow anything, could it be because the pressure in the bigger tank is too much? would a larger pump do a better job?
