filter

I have been going though my fish stuff all day and I found a filter that I didnt know i had. Its a bio-wheel.Unfortionitly I have no way of telling what kind t is or how to run one (ive always used aqua clears). Its black, 10 in tall, 4 in wide, and 8 in long. Does any one know what kind of filter it might be. If not I would appreciate some genral knowledge about bio-wheels thanks.
