Filter System?

Just been randomly flicking through the net and seen some underground filters, nothing new I know but I was wondering if you can put an underground filter in with a fluval type system. (one that stick's on the side) is there any advantages of doing this or would this give my all sorts of problems.

What size of tank do you have, I would say it's not nessessary.

well i got a 3.5ft (101cm by 36cm 46cm i think) i think it would be a bit of over kill for this size tank, but would it make the cleaning process easier or keep the tank cleaner?

A lot opinions vary on UGF's and their effectiveness. There are the die-hard supporters who insist they're the best filtration then you have those who say they are completely worthless and obsolete. IMO it isn't necessary with another filter like that.
