How often do you clean your filter sponges? Only reason I ask is I have to clean mine every two weeks as I notice a nitrite spike if I don't, my tank is 4 months old and use a Fluval U2, I didn't know if this was normal? My tank is only 84% stocked (aquaadvisor.com) so shouldn't be too much waste.
