filter problems!!!

i have had one of my tanks running for 6 months now and i have a Sicce ADV shark internal filter and it is not working properly.it is making an awfall noise and the water flow is not working properly i have managed to get it working for now but i have bought another filter it is a fluval internal. but i don't now how to transfer the filter media from the old filter to the new one so i have plenty of bacteria in my new filter any suggestions?

i suggest you just run your new filter along side your old one for a short while

just use new filter and worry not, If tank is established Bacteria will be ok in tank and new filter will just carry on, Fluval is the internal and external filters i use.
Dont worry to much, Fish will survive, Only sick or weak will die.

The old media probably won't fit in the Fluval, as Allix says just run the 2 together for approx 1 month. Most of the tanks bacteria will be in the filter media so just replacing the old one could cause the tank to re-cycle, don't risk it.

wash your old filters out in your new tank and this will transfer a lot of the good bacteria.
