Filter Problems

Hi all,
im new to the site

im having a few issues with my filter in my aqua one 620 tank.

I did a 20 percent water change today and when i turned the filter back on it was humming, although did not seem to be not sucking up water.

I took the filter apart and cleaned it all, when i put it back in the tank it still wasnt working, when i took the spray wand off and looked into the tank... the filter seemed to be working... i now have a very wet face

i have looked for blockages and such but can not see anything,

Any ideas about whats happening or how i could fix it?

Hi bjb, welcome to the forum

Have you checked the seal in your filter? If not, take it out, give it a good clean in your excess tank water and coat in a little bit of Vaseline to stop it cracking.
Also, ensure there are no 'air pockets' in your filter, do this by giving it a gently shake side to side once you have plugged it all back in.
