I've a 60L planted tank and my filter doesnt take up all the poo left by the fish. Ive alot of plants in the tank, and ive a battery filter thing that i use sometimes when all the poo havsnt been taken up, but when i use it it uproots the plants. any ideas on what i cud do??

Use a gravel vacuum.

I never have any uprooting problems using a manual vac. Battery operated ones, IMO, are a waste of time.

hay mate i had the same problem once you can either stick the plants in another tank while you use the filter, as said above use a gravel vacuum or to wiegh the plants down use some solder and wrap it around the roots so it doesn't get up rooted.

Or get a much more powerful filter which we are always suggesting in planted tanks!!! lph of 10x more than your tank volume.
