Hi

Anyone help with a priming problem on an Ehiem 2036 Pro2, have checked all pipework, etc.. for blockages,.

Problem seems to be on the inlet side

Thanks

I'm not familiar with the self prime models - that's what this one is isn't it ?
Are all the taps (the little shut valve arms) in the correct positions ?

Its a self primer, everything appears to be fine, only thing I can think is happening is the seal, I've checked everything else.

Are you setting it up for this first time ? Or if not, how long have you had it ?

Had it about 4/5 months. Was cleaning it and when put it back together, I couldn't get it to prime. The inlet pipe will not take up any water, and as I said no blockages anywhere.

OK well in that case, you have tried to manually prime it.
Filter empty. All arms closed. Attach to pipes. Open inlet arms - but keep outlet closed.
Wait till the whole cannister fills completely with water, then open outlet arms and power up.
That should really work.

Thanks all for the advice, managed to get it working, was a sealing problem not allowing vacuum to be created.
