Filter Packet To Remove Color From Water.

Hey everyone!

I just got back into the hobby after my girlfriend bought me a fluval edge. I remember when I had driftwood in my tank a long time ago and it would turn the water a slight brown/yellow color. The LFS sold me this packet to put in my filter that absorbs color. I put it in my filter and literally an hour later my water was crystal clear. I have completely forgotten what they are called and can't seem to find them anywhere! Any help would be appreciated. P.S. I wish I came across this forum years ago when I was really into the hobby. Would have saved me a ton of headaches!

Probably carbon

it turned the water that colour due to leaching tannis

could that be carbon? was it black? if so then its carbon!

Nope was not carbon it was white. After it had turned brown in a few months I would bleach it and it would be good to go again. It worked great!
