Filter Not Working

Hello guys,

I have a penguin 330 filter and I just did a normal wate change, all the sudden my filter is not working. It's like there is no power to it. I have checked the outlet and it's fine. I looked everything over and made sure nothing was clogged. So as of now I have not filter running. what will happen and does anyone have any ideas how to get the darn thing working?

Make sure there is water in it before you plug it in. Just pour a cup of tank water in it to fill. It won't start to siphon if there is no water in it.

Check the impeller, see if it is clean. Many times a filter will run with a dirty impeller, but won't start back up.

Sometimes the impeller needs a little nudge to get going after the filter is plugged in. Give it a little push with your finger after you plug it in. Many of my smaller Aqua Clears need this to start back up.

But where is the impellar? I can't seem to find it I guess..

ok I see it on the diagram but how do I get to it... it looks like it's boxed in. and there is no way I could get to it with my fingernail.

I have fat fingers, sometimes a pen, piece of wood, or a plant stem helps get to it.

To get it out, pop off the intake tube, #2, the housing around it, #6, & pull it out to see if it has anything gumming it up.

Thanks for your help, can you believe I just left a piece on the floor and it happned to be the impeller. Boy don't I feel like an idiot. thanks again for your help!
